Sowing Seeds Tennis is privileged to host the 2nd annual “City Classic Tennis Tournament”

September 11^th and 12^th, 2010

The Sowing Seeds “Tennis Classic” has become one of the premier tennis events in the Tampa Bay area. The success of the event is credited largely to sponsors, who lend their name and financial support to the event. The proceeds each year goes directly to the local children and coaches within the community to purchase tennis equipment, clothing, tournament fee’s and fund tennis related field trips. The event will consist of several divisions:

Men’s- 50’s, 40’s, 4.5, 4.0, 3.5  Doubles 8.0 and 9.0

Women’s- 50’s, 40, 4.5, 4.0, 3.5  Doubles 8.0 and 9.0

Mixed- 8.0 and 9.0

Sowing Seeds Tennis Inc. remains committed to making life better for local children ranging from 6 to 16 years of age. The mission of Sowing Seeds Tennis Inc. is to assist minorities and other tennis players, by enhancing their overall athletic skill performance through advocacy, one-on-one mentoring, tutoring, life skills and ultimately earning a tennis scholarship to pursue higher education. The program is also designed to honor the dreams and wishes of the youth, in our region that would not have access to services provided by Sowing Seeds Inc. due to the current economic environment.

In 2009 to play (1) tournament a month, with (3) being out of region for optimal ranking cost roughly $1100 per child. However, through our program, we have been able to make a major impact on the lives of many players including the (3) listed that are currently sponsored by Sowing Seeds Inc.:

Anastasia Worlds- Age (11) St.Petersburg, FL

·        Currently ranked 146 in the State of Florida in the girls 12’s age division out of over 700 state ranked girls

·        Over 20 USTA Tournament wins to date

Robert Lee- Age (16) St.Petersburg, FL

·        2 time 4A District Champ

·        All County First Team (2010)

Shachaamah Brown- Age (11) St.Petersburg, FL

·        Over 15 USTA Tournament wins to date

·        Highest State Ranking achieved (20) Girl’s 10’s

Our work is only possible with the assistance of generous sponsors from members of our community. Without sponsors such as yourselves, the youth who benefited from Sowing Seeds Tennis inc. would have been left to face their challenge alone. We have four levels of sponsorship packages, as detailed on the enclosed sponsorship commitment form. You can select the level of participation that best meets your needs, and be secure in the knowledge that your sponsorship fee will be used to help Sowing Seeds Tennis Inc. in the community.
